Data charter
A brand called “free breath” must never feel like surveillance.
Your breath record describes your body, your breath and your mind. It belongs to you.
What we collect
- Booking details you give us: name, email, the classes you book, payments (handled by our payment provider).
- If you subscribe: your email, for one letter a month.
- In the room (flagship, later): the room’s average breathing pace, computed on a local device and discarded after class.
What we never collect
- No cameras or microphones recording you in the room.
- No individual breath waveforms stored, unless you ask for your own record.
- No advertising trackers, no selling or renting of data, ever.
On this website
- Your Notebook (the two words, saved articles, preferences) lives only in your browser. We cannot see it.
- The tools run on your device. Nothing you do in them is sent to us.
- If we use statistics, they are cookie-free and aggregate — page counts, not people.
Ownership and deletion
- You can export or delete your Notebook at any time from the Notebook page.
- Email hello@freebrea.com to see, correct, export or delete anything we hold about you. We answer within 30 days.
- Personal information is handled under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, PIPEDA.
Models learn one person, not everyone
- If a future breath record uses any model, it learns your own pattern for your own use. Your data is never pooled to train systems for others without your explicit, separate consent.
Draft for review by an Alberta lawyer before launch. Updated 2 November 2026.
